Portable City Projects Networks and Hubs Series:

Through my Public Interest artist residency at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibits) I convened, created and organized several platforms to create different models of engagement to encourage the participation of different publics.

The images depict events held as part of the various platforms and gatherings held during my residency at LACE. I was interested in using my residency to help surface and support other related practices and artists and to explore the power of collaboration and creating both formal and informal networks.

I platformed a TRANSFORMA PUBLICATION RELEASE PARTY and a discussion about Transforma and their work in New orleans, Felipe Zunige presenting Economy of Gesture and a community sign making workshop, Al Nodal and the Lumens Project coupled with a particpatory neon walk and talk along Hollywood Blvd, Ana Guajardo’s Tianguis coupled with a dialogue with local vendors and a market.
